Find your balance with Evidence-Based Therapy
Specializing in REBT and CBT for anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation in Chicago.
About Restartt
Restartt is a Chicago-based therapy practice dedicated to helping people change the way they think so they can change their lives. Founded by Bryanna Tartt, LCSW, a Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) specialist, the practice focuses on structured, skills-based therapy that challenges rigid, self-defeating beliefs and promotes emotional regulation long after sessions end. Restartt has grown from a solo practice into a space where like-minded clinicians help clients confront unhelpful patterns, build resilient mindsets, and take meaningful responsibility for their own growth, redefining what it truly means to “start over.”
Anxiety & Stress Management
Anxiety often shows up as racing thoughts, constant second-guessing, and the feeling that any mistake means failure. Therapy helps untangle those patterns by examining the thoughts driving them and practicing realistic ways of responding to uncertainty.
Emotional Regulation
Intense emotions like anger or emotional shutdown can strain relationships and self-esteem. Therapy offers a space to slow that process down by naming emotions, connecting them to underlying thoughts, and more.
Depression
Depression often brings low mood, guilt, and emptiness alongside painful beliefs like 'nothing will ever change' making even simple tasks feel overwhelming. Therapy helps identify and question those beliefs.
The REBT Advantage
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is a pioneering form of CBT that focuses on resolving emotional and behavioral problems to lead a more fulfilling life.
A practical, skills-based approach to change
Restartt’s therapeutic approach is grounded in a highly active, skills-focused method that helps clients understand the link between their thoughts, emotions, and reactions. Much of the work centers on identifying rigid beliefs and harsh internal demands—the “I must,” “I should,” and “I can’t mess up” messages that fuel anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm. By challenging these beliefs and practicing healthier ways of thinking, clients develop emotional discipline, greater frustration tolerance, and more balanced responses to stress.
To support this work, Restartt draws from several evidence-based modalities, including:
Rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
Rational emotive imagery
Motivational interviewing (MI)
Strength-based approaches

This isn’t about blaming yourself for feeling stressed. It’s about recognizing the power you have to respond differently.
You can still advocate for better conditions and do it without being emotionally hijacked.
